The Great Adventure Camp (GAC) is located at The Cat Spring Retreat in Cat Spring, Texas, which is 45 minutes from Katy between Sealy and New Ulm. The facilities include air-conditioned cabins and buildings. We average 140 campers per week and 50 staff. Each counselor is assigned five to seven campers. All of our buildings and cabins are grouped in the same area.


Please fill out the registration form and we will email you an invoice for the NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $50. Invoices may take up to 3-4 business days to be emailed. We use the information from the registration form to help group campers into counselor groups. Once your deposit has been received,  a packet of information will be emailed to you that includes what to bring, medical forms, etc. Campers must be 8 years old by October 1st. A camp T-shirt is included in the price of camp.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE 

The camp fee (excluding deposit) is refundable for any cancellation up to 5 weeks before your camper’s registered camp date.


All of our full time staff will have gone through a rigorous in-depth week of staff training before camp begins. This training includes first aid, CPR, childhood development, how to work with campers, appropriate behavior with campers, activity training, and more. Most of our staff are former campers or staff members that know first-hand what the life changing camp week means to a camper.


A paramedic is on site. Certified lifeguards are on duty at all swimming and lake activities.
