Thank you for your note!

Since I was a little kid, GAC has and will always be one of my favorite places in the world. This camp is where I found Jesus, what made me become so involved in my church, and was always where I felt the safest. This camp has impacted my life in so many ways and I hold it close to my heart. I really want to thank you for giving me the experiences that I have had at GAC and I honestly don't know how to fully show how grateful I am to have been apart of such an amazing camp.

WHAT OUR CAMPERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GAC

I have been struggling with my relationship with God ever since my mom passed away. I have been asking the question, "why me?" and "why weren't my prayers answered?" but I know that through my struggles, God is always there to guide me. This camp really made me face my problems and stop trying to make others happy. I don't worry about other peoples opinions of me because all that matters is what I think about myself and I know God made me perfect in his own way. This camp really changed my outlook on life and from talking to my counselor, I really look forward to rebuilding and start my adventure again with God.

WHAT OUR CAMPERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GAC

The ride home... they never stopped talking, adding to each other's stories, interrupting to say just one more thing. Their stories are full of fun adventures, new friends, and all the things you would expect to hear. They were also full of simple comments about who they helped and who helped them. They talked about deep conversations between counselors and campers, between friends, about the Bible and about questions that they were able to ask and discuss fully and freely. As a parent, I thank you for all of these moments! I thank you for the trust, kindness, and respect that you are able to bring out in just a few short days. The relationships that are built in those few short days live on and have a huge impact!

WHAT OUR CAMPERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GAC

GAC has always been a second home to me. I’ve been going as a camper, LIT, and a counselor for 11 years now and it has such a special place in my heart! My siblings have gone to this camp too and it have been nothing but such a loving and safe place where God just works through everyone. You really meet the most amazing people here that are going to be life long friends and with the God given experiences you go through here will always be so special. Camp has been and always will be life changing!

WHAT OUR CAMPERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GAC

He had the BEST time of his life ever last week at camp!! That was his first time at GAC (or any camp ever). He fell in love with his counselor! He keeps telling us of how much fun he had, all of the activities, how awesome his counselor was, how the food was the best & all the friends he made!

What an absolute blessing for him & us!! We just thank you for having such a wonderful & safe camp that allows so much fun & activities for the kids. Next year he will be returning for hopefully a couple weeks split up & his 2 sisters want to come also.

WHAT OUR CAMPERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GAC

The summer of 2022 was the 20th summer in a row that one of our 5 children (all adults now) attended GAC in some capacity. From campers, to LIT, to staff. They all still talk about their camp experiences with fond memories. We had no idea the impact GAC would have on our entire family when we dropped our 2 oldest boys off in July 2002. GACs legacy will last forever in our family.

WHAT OUR CAMPERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GAC

GAC is my safe place, my home away from home, and the place where I came to know Jesus. Camp holds my fondest and dearest memories, has given me so many of my favorite people, and helped mold me into the best version of myself. It’s the most special place there is. I started out attending GAC as a camper, attended as an LIT, couldn't wait to work as a full time staffer. Now, with my own family, I serve on the board. My daughter is 1 and I can not wait to be able to send her to GAC!
